This class will cover as many of the basic saddle repairs as possible—repair of trees, replacing damaged leather parts, tie strings, horn caps, stirrups—but will not be able to cover complete restorations. If the student has a saddle they want to use for this class, they may bring it. This is a hands-on class and the saddle goes home with the student.
It is our observation that there is a great need all over the United States for people who can and will do basic repair of saddles and this is a good opportunity for leather workers to develop a profitable business.
The fee for this two-week course is $2,500 due at the beginning of the course and non-refundable. As this is a working shop with many customers, I need to book your spot thirty days in advance, please.
