Headstalls and Mecate Sets

I am constantly looking for ways to improve tack and now have these western headstalls and mecate sets to offer my customers. Actually, they are an alternative to a regular mecate that I find much easier to use. They consist of a leather headstall with a rope noseband and a roughly 12 foot long catch rope that is attached to the headstall with a snap. This catch rope can be tucked under your belt and should you be dislodged from your horse unexpectedly, you can retrieve him with this rope. For added interest, there is a horsehair tassel attached to the snap. These western headstalls and mecate sets add color to your equipment and are strong and lightweight. Headstalls are made of Wickett and Craig leather, either black, dark brown or natural. Headstalls are attached to nosebands with either brass or nickel-plated brass Chicago screws. Headstall buckles are brass or nickel-plated brass. All the rope is quality Atwood rope. The nosebands are braided ¼ inch rope covered with 3/16 inch rope using a cobra or survival lace. The rope leads are roughly 12 feet long. They attach to the headstalls with either brass or nickel-plated brass snaps which are secured with lanyard knots. The horsehair tassels attached to the snaps are of varying lengths and colors.

The seventeen headstalls and mecate sets featured here are specially priced at $60.00 each. Shipping charge is $15.00. We can custom design a headstall and mecate set for you for an additional cost depending on current material costs and your specifications.
