This pair was made to match an 1860 reproduction half-seat saddle. They
are made with top of the line Wickett & Craig cowhide and fully
hand tooled with basket weave and rope edge patterns. Solid brass
hardware is used and the saddle bags have their own tie strings so you
don’t have to fight to get to those tie strings on your saddle. They
are graced with brass and pewter conchos and have soft sides so they
fold up flat when empty. They have Pete’s Saddle Shop’s own design for
buckle on ease. The buckles keep then firmly in place while on the
saddle and stop that annoying habit of saddle bags riding from side to
side. (Note: All Pete’s Custom Saddles come with D rings to accept the
buckle on attachment of saddle bags. These D rings can be added to any
saddle.)
